Luna — Gravhounds Crew

Luna closes the five-hound list in launch-week articles: Zane, Dozer, Selene, Finn, and Luna. She is not a rumor, a pet, or a ship AI. COSMO is the supervisor. Luna is a Gravhound you can take on a job, with a dedicated voice and a unique ability the studio has confirmed exists for every operator. The ability’s name did not get the Holmes walkthrough treatment that bone bombs, Fetch, and Play Dead received. This page does not fill that silence with fan fiction.

You still get the whole game on Luna. Grav Beam, pipeline, fabricator, turrets, boost rig, Reward Pods, extract. If a guide ever implied you need Dozer to place a turret, that guide is wrong. Read How to build.

What is confirmed

• Luna is a playable Gravhound in the five-name roster.
• Unique personality kit: yes, in general. Specifics: not in the IGN examples.
• Voice acting: part of the five-hound pitch.
• More Gravhounds are planned during Early Access; Luna is already on the poster, not in the “coming later” bucket.

When Octopus Panic posts a kit, this URL grows a kit section. Until then, Luna is the other honest flex pick next to Zane.

How to play Luna on day one anyway

Same advice as any unpublished unique: play the job. Getting Started is the briefing. On a pack, take a named hat from co-op — spine, mule, gun, or clock — and say it out loud. Flex hounds become ghosts when they try to do all four.

A clean Luna first shift:

1. Socket pipe and fabricator with whoever is not hunting a Frisbee.
2. Beam kits like you mean it.
3. Press the unique button when you know what it does. Until then, shooting wildlife is allowed.
4. Leave when the clock calls it. How to extract does not have a Luna exemption.

Pack partners

• Dozer: you mule, he denies. Or reverse it; kits do not check collars.
• Selene: she goes long; you keep the factory from becoming a tourist attraction.
• Finn: he stalls; you should already be moving the crate.
• Zane: two flex hounds can cover gun and spine if someone still owns the clock.

Tier talk, labeled as preview

The crew preview parks Luna in flex with Zane. That is a data grade, not an insult. Players who main a vibe will still main Luna, and they will be right to, because Gravhounds is about the pack improvising with shared tools. A letter rank cannot beat a living pipe.

Why not invent a moon theme

The name invites lore essays. Official copy does not hand us a moon beam, a howl ultimate, or a night-cycle planet. We will not write those paragraphs. We will write the job. If the unique ability is secretly spectacular, Early Access players will show it and this page will cite it.

For the rest of the pack, use the Crew hub. For the factory, stay in the Guides hub. For the calendar, Early Access is when we expect kit pages to get sharper. Until November 2, Luna is a good dog with a full toolbox and one unlabeled button. That is enough to take a shift.

What to practice on Luna first

Until the unique button has a tooltip, drill the shared verbs for an hour of mental reps: dropship, pipe, fabricator, turret line, beam dump, extract call. That hour transfers to every other hound and makes Luna a better hire than a player who waited for a wiki to invent a moon beam. When a studio short names Luna’s kit, we will add a pairing chart against Dozer and Selene. Until that short exists, her page is a full operator briefing, not a blank portrait.
