Gravhounds Updates Hub
Reveal recap, Early Access roadmap, and how to get into a playtest.
Gravhounds went from private studio project to Opening Night Live in August 2026. This hub is the news desk for that launch window: what was shown, when Game Preview is dated, how long Early Access is expected to last, and where to put your name if you want a shift before November 2.
Read Gamescom 2026 for the reveal, the Xbox booth context, and the systems Josh Holmes walked through on Xbox Wire. Read Early Access for the Steam FAQ in plain language: roughly six months in preview, more jobs and Gravhounds on the road to 1.0, a price that is expected to rise, and day-one Game Pass. Read Playtest for Steam request-access and Discord listening posts. Read Playtests Are Underway for the 11–15 September 2026 wave schedule, limited invites, and extra Discord keys. None of those pages will tell you the game is already in players’ hands as a retail 1.0. It is not.
Why an updates hub before launch
Pre-release wikis rot when they mix rumor, leftover Roblox codes, and “coming soon” filler. Gravhounds is a PC and Xbox co-op action builder from a seven-person studio. The useful questions are practical:
- When can I play? November 2, 2026, Early Access / Game Preview. Details on Early Access and platforms.
- What is in the build they have been playtesting internally? The core loop: jobs, hostile worlds, gather, build, defend, leave. See Getting Started.
- Will the store price stay put? Octopus Panic expects it to increase as content grows. Wishlist early if you plan to buy rather than use Game Pass.
- Where does feedback go? Discord, Steam discussions, playtests, surveys. Official links.
How we date pages
The Gamescom article is the historical record of the announcement week. The Early Access article is the living plan and will be the first page rewritten when a patch notes feed exists. The Playtest article is operational: request access, do not expect a guaranteed key, keep an eye on Steam. The wave recap is the dated news post.
If you only want to play, skip the recap and go to platforms plus system requirements. If you want to understand why the game looks like Deep Rock Galactic’s cousin with a gravity gun, the gamescom page and the Guides hub will serve you better than a rumor thread.
What will not appear here
We will not paste unverified leak dumps, fake coupon codes, or Roblox script lists. Gravhounds is not a Roblox experience. We will not mark the game as released until Octopus Panic actually ships Game Preview. We will not promise a 1.0 calendar date the studio has not given; Steam currently frames Early Access as about six months, potentially longer.
When the first public patch lands, this hub should grow a patch-log child page. Until then, the children below plus the official site and Discord are the clean sources. Pair news with the crew roster so you know which names in a trailer still map to playable hounds.
Get to work, but get the date right.
